As a dedicated public servant and Alderman, I have a clear sense of purpose and responsibility. I am a problem solver and I have a clear vision for our community, and a proven track record of accomplishment to that end.
First, I have a very clear purpose and sense of responsibility, which is to listen to YOU and be YOUR voice in our city government. It is through communicating, identifying key issues, and helping to solve the challenges we face that I am able to effectively serve the people whom I represent.
Second, I have a vision for our community.
My vision encompasses three main tenants:
PROTECTING, PRESERVING, and PROSPERING.
Third, I have a proven track record of results.
When I was first elected, many of the city’s processes and systems were outdated and no longer keeping pace with Franklin’s growth. I worked with fellow elected officials, and staff to address these challenges by bringing in qualified leadership and updating policies to ensure our city was positioned for long-term success.
Throughout my time in office, I’ve consistently fought for Ward 1 issues and projects. Early on, many East Side projects were stalled at the bottom of the Capital Improvement Project (CIP) list. I championed and fought for Ward 1 and as a result, many of our projects rose to the top—several have been completed, others are under construction, and more are moving through design, right-of-way acquisition, and pre-construction.
The results are real—and the progress must continue.
While we have achieved many important accomplishments, there’s still important work to be done. That’s why I’m seeking your support for another term. We have critical Ward 1 projects underway, and I am committed to seeing them through to their successful completion.
McEwen Drive Phase IV is just one example of the long-term, persistent effort required to bring major projects from concept to completion. Paying attention to details matters. For example, I encouraged our city staff to apply for grants and we were able to offset the very costly project with $30 Million dollars in grants. Just one example of finding ways to generate efficiencies while making your tax dollars go farther, Note: you can view the full project timeline under the “Projects/McEwen” tab on the City’s website. Franklin’s future is bright, but thoughtful, insightful leadership is needed to meet our growing demands while protecting the character of our city. I would be honored to continue that work—and I respectfully ask for your vote in the upcoming election.
Collaboration Matters — Experience Counts
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in public service is that complex issues can’t be solved in a vacuum. My constituents know me as one who listens, responds and jumps in with both feet to get a job done. I also know that real, lasting solutions come from collaboration—bringing together voices, ideas and help from across the city, county, state, businesses, neighborhoods, and individuals who are impacted.
Over the years, I’ve built strong, proactive relationships across all levels of government and with stakeholders from every corner of our community.
These connections aren’t just political—they’re practical. They help me open doors to access information and resources that are necessary to solve problems by bringing people to the table when it matters most.
I’m also committed to listening to all sides of an issue. That willingness to engage with different perspectives helps ensure that decisions are thoughtful, fact based, balanced, and rooted in what’s best for our entire city long-term..
This collaborative, relationship-driven approach is one of my greatest strengths—and one of the key reasons I’m asking for your vote. May I continue using my experience, networks, and openness to work for you and for the future of our city? If the answer is YES then I need YOUR VOTE!
